Salary Range: $25-$60 (depending on location, education, and certifications)

Hours Requirement
- 10 hours minimum of interpreting services required per month (at leadership's discretion).

- You can get paid for travel time too when it’s between other Sorenson community assignments

Requirements
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in ASL
- Ability to pass our required skills assessment
- A high school diploma or GED
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree (preferred, but not required)
- Interpreter certification (as required by local regulations)
- 3 years’ experience working as an interpreter (preferred, but not required)
Qualifications
- Display a wide continuum of language skills in American Sign Language and English
- Consistently exhibit excellent internal and external customer service
- Meet performance and customer service expectations with minimal supervision
- Maintain, as applicable, compliance with any national, state, or local licensure and/or certification requirements
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the various interpreting needs in the community setting
- Comply with Sorenson Communications attendance requirements
- Represent the Sorenson Communications brand when interacting with customers in the field
- Work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment in a variety of settings and locations
- Be prompt and prepared for each interpreting engagement
- Flexible with assignment changes
- Demonstrate a willingness and ability to complete additional and other duties as assigned
