Sign Language Interpreter
Basic Purpose
Position interprets for different school functions, conferences, meetings, assemblies, IEP meetings, medical meetings with nursing staff, parent homes and sorority when requested and psychological testing when requested. Assist in special programs and activities when interpreting is necessary.
Typical Functions
- Attend in-service training as scheduled and interpret workshops as required to keep certification current.

- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies
Education And Experience
State certification through DRS/QAST (Quality Assurance Screening Test).
National certification through the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.

Preferred Qualifications
- American Sign Language Skills.
