Sign Fabricator

Role Overview

As a Sign Fabricator, you will be essential in the production of high-quality signs by converting design concepts into tangible products. This role demands a dedicated craftsperson adept at handling various materials and fabrication techniques with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design and installation teams to interpret sign specifications and identify fabrication requirements.
• Select the best materials (metal, wood, plastic, vinyl) for each project, considering design intent and functionality.
• Operate a range of tools and machinery, including saws, drills, routers, and benders, to accurately cut, shape, and assemble sign components.
• Employ advanced fabrication techniques such as welding, bending, and forming to construct robust sign structures.
• Prepare surfaces for finishing through sanding and priming, and assist in applying graphics, lettering, and other finishing touches as required.
• Maintain a tidy and efficient workspace, manage tools and materials, and uphold safety standards.
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support team objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in sign fabrication or related fields such as metalworking.
• Proficient in various fabrication techniques and knowledgeable about safety protocols.
• Experienced in using both hand and power tools effectively.
• Familiarity with the materials commonly used in sign making is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to execute tasks precisely.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality craftsmanship and a strong work ethic.
