SIGINT Analyst
About the role
The Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) LANT supports the RDT&E of new and emerging technologies to enhance Navy SIGINT capabilities. This includes research, requirements analysis, testing, and evaluation, as well as technical writing and training.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify innovative technology
- Conduct requirements analysis
- Test and demonstrate new technology
- Write technical documentation
- Represent at S&T/R&D conferences
- Train customers
- Evaluate vendor capabilities
- Support integration of innovative technology into existing programs
- Provide transition support for new technology
- Develop communication skills and technical writing
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams
- Identify and troubleshoot system shortfalls
- Research and implement integrations between systems
- Coordinate with national partners for signal data acquisition
- Examine fleet needs for new system requirements
- Recommend new systems and technology improvements
- Develop new system documentation and training
- Decompose existing systems and design new configurations
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Minimum five years of experience in Signals Analysis (SIGINT)
- Genuine desire to solve unique, fleet-level problems
- Demonstrated creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience with Navy SIGINT systems (SSEE/CORSAIR/CCOP)
- Hands-on experience with SIGINT analytic tools
- Ability to solve technical problems independently
- Collaborative teamwork skills
- Developed communication skills and technical writing abilities
Desired Skills
- Experience with signals analysis schools and labs
- Familiarity with modulation schemes, radio wave propagation, and waveform analysis
- Hands-on experience with digital and RF test equipment
- Experience with Navy SIGINT suites and systems
