Sidel Filler Operator
About the role
Darigold is seeking a Filling and Packaging Operator for their aseptic Sidel filling line. The position is responsible for safe, efficient operation of the Sidel Filling and Packaging Line machines and equipment, as well as monitoring and inspecting the filling process, maintaining inventory, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Follows all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy and facility employee training sessions.
- Reports any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to supervisors.
- Operates and maintains Sidel Filling and Packaging Line machines and equipment.
- Inspects and monitors the filling process to ensure proper machine operation.
- Maintains and monitors weights and measures, ensuring proper code markings and labelling.
- Maintains organization of the work area and performs ongoing cleaning tasks in compliance with good manufacturing and warehouse practices.
- Cleans and sanitizes the filler and associated equipment as required.
- Assists Maintenance team members in routine maintenance and repairs.
- Collects information and completes production reports accurately, maintaining necessary paperwork in good order.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Continuous standing, walking, flexing, stretching, twisting, and moving throughout the area for 8 to 12 hours.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds frequently, between floor level and chest level and above shoulder height.
- Climbing stairs.
- Organizing and analyzing process problems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; basic arithmetic skills; reading and understanding instructions; writing legibly.
- Mastery and safe operation of pallet jack and forklift.
- Basic computer use and scanning, batch ticketing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year production experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to monitor and inspect product and equipment.
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes.
- Ability to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Schedule
The position is scheduled to work Thursday-Saturday from 6:00pm-6:30am, and Wednesday from 6:00pm-12:00am.
