SIC (Flexjet Vertical - Sikorsky S-76)

About the Role

Flexjet, an award-winning organization specializing in high-end luxury private jet travel, is seeking a customer service-driven helicopter pilot to join our team. This role involves piloting the assigned Flexjet Sikorsky S-76 for domestic flights, providing a safe and seamless multi-mode travel option for Flexjet owners during their scheduled rotation. Positions are currently open at our Bridgeport, CT facilities.

Responsibilities

• Functionally responsible to the Pilot-in-Command on all flights.
• Performs all duties and any specific duties assigned.
• Maintains a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all times.
• Responsible to the Fleet Chief Pilot for duty assignments and training.
• Greets passengers and assists with passenger seating and luggage storage.
• Conducts passenger briefings.
• Assists with emergency evacuations.
• Adheres to the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Crew Flight Manual and Flight Deck Handbook.
• Maintains a current 1st Class medical certificate as required by the Company and notifies the Chief Pilot if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair their ability to perform the flight.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• All candidates must be able to achieve ATP minimums (written complete and qualify to take the check ride). ATP is not required for Second-in-Command (SICs).
• 1,500 hours total time.
• Commercial Pilot certificate with rotorcraft/helicopter and instrument rating.
• Meets the recency experience requirement defined by CFR part 61.
• 50 hours IFR time logged.
• Current 1st Class Medical.
• Valid Passport.
• No FAA sanctions within the past 5 years.
• Legal right to work in the United States and ability to travel in and out of the U.S. and to all cities/countries where Flexjet serves.

Qualifications

• Quality of flight time matters! Special consideration is given for military experience, PIC time, turbine time, and S76 and NYC flight experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, Aviation Management, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience in Part 135/91K or corporate aircraft desirable.

Skills

• Working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 135, Part 91 Subpart K, and Part 91.
• Thorough knowledge of FAA, ICAO, and other international flight operations regulations.
• Strong organizational skills and advanced multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal/written, and presentation skills.
• Computer skills necessary to operate word processing, email, and web-based applications.
• Fanatical attention to detail and ability to work in a team atmosphere with a focus on long-term relationships.
• Well-groomed appearance.
