Shuttle Driver (PER DIEM)

Maintained Duties

• Perform routine driving and transporting services
• Provide accessibility for medical appointments within established networks
• Maintain vehicles; drive them to designed service station for maintenance, repair and refueling
• Maintain records of use, mileage, repairs or service required
• Communicate effectively and tactfully with residents/patients recognizing their age, needs, abilities and physical condition
• Report all unsafe conditions to appropriate supervisor including change in patient status, broken or malfunctioning equipment or anything that could be potential threat or danger to a resident
• Understand and follow Universal Precautions as it pertains to their department
• Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings

Essential Skills

• Supportive attitude towards patients, visitors and/or staff
• Valid CT Driver's License-F Endorsement

Qualifications

• Less than high school education
