Shuttle Driver - JLR

Essential Duties

• Drive a shuttle van.
• Communicate work assignments to drivers and monitor progress throughout the day.
• Record daily activity on a computer tablet and a written report.
• Plan vehicle movements to minimize wait times and consolidate movements.
• Troubleshoot as needed to process damaged units or units requiring special attention.
• Serve as a role model to other employees in work performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness on the shuttle van and all IAP zones.
• Promote safety and prevent on-the-job accidents.
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow safety policies.
• Monitor and report unacceptable acts of conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED OR 1+ year continuous work experience with no more than 2 employers.
• Valid US Driver’s License.
• Obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge).
• 2+ months experience in Field Department and working knowledge of specific account procedures.
• Experience using handheld scanning devices.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Ability to communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Problem-solving abilities and detail orientation.

Physical Working Attributes

• Repeatedly get in and out of a vehicle during the work shift.
• Step up approximately 18 inches into an open van.
• Work is exposed to all outdoor elements including heat, cold, rain, insects, and other conditions.
