Shuttle Driver I

About the role

The Shuttle Driver I ensures efficient and courteous transportation service for all guests to and from Kewadin Casinos, providing attentive, cheerful, and professional customer service to exceed guest expectations.

Responsibilities

• Transport guests between hotels and the casino.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and clean company vehicles.
• Answer office phones and provide vehicles to guests as needed.
• Dispatch shuttles and transport guests to and from the airport.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience transporting passengers preferred.
• Must possess a chauffeur’s license and a valid driver’s license.
• Must be insurable by the Sault Tribe Insurance Department and comply with annual driver license review and insurability standards.

Skills

• Knowledge of local hotel locations and Kewadin Casino events/promotions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Friendly attitude and ability to work independently or in a group.
• Must be available on-call 24/7 and work flexible hours.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds and occasional dual lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Constant sitting and driving; frequent use of smell, standing, walking, carrying, lifting/pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and typing.
• Constant exposure to weather; frequent exposure to extreme heat/cold, wet/humidity, noise, and air quality.
• Potential hazards include moving mechanical parts, electric shock, chemicals, infectious exposure, and equipment.
