Shuttle Driver

Pay

$23.00 per hour

Schedule

Part-time, Monday through Thursday, 7 am – 11 am

Responsibilities

• Drives shuttle bus and transports customers to and from the facility.
• Greets passengers and provides assistance with loading and unloading.
• Operates the shuttle bus in a safe and efficient manner and complies with all traffic and safety regulations.
• Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms.
• Communicates with dispatchers, drivers and other employees using a two‑way radio system to communicate routes, announcing arrivals and delays, coordinating the pick‑up of customers, or handling other vehicle or customer issues that arise.
• Conducts pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses at the beginning and end of shift to ensure sound operating conditions.
• Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch or supervisor of potential problems.
• Reports accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
• Treats all customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Requirements

• Must have a valid CDL (Class A, B or C) with passenger endorsement.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently.
• Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Energetic, outgoing, able to stand, run, and carry items up to 50 lbs if needed.
• Great communicator in written and spoken language, with a friendly, professional approach.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and help resolve customer issues positively.
• Physical demands: stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands/arms, talk and hear; occasionally lift/move objects up to 25 lbs.
• Work environment: exposure to weather conditions, fumes and airborne particles; noise level minimal to moderate.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• 1+ year of customer service experience.
• 1+ year experience driving a shuttle bus or commercial vehicle.
