CDL A License with Doubles Endorsement required.
Pay
Average $38.61/hour after training. $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply; ineligible if employed by any Performance Food Group company within the last 6 months).
Schedule
Overnights, Sunday – Thursday. Start time 6:30 p.m. until finished. Average 11 hours drive time with upwards of 14 hours duty time.

About the Role
As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to Operating Company warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will drive tandem trailers, tractor trailers, and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The role involves professional communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers, and performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; report safety issues and/or repairs.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report all safety hazards.
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; ensure all required route paperwork is available upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule; perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
- Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas; ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer; complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload equipment and materials; remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clean.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 12 months of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure a new one.
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (60–90 pounds) throughout shift.
