CDL A License with Doubles Endorsement required.
Pay
Average $38.61/hour after training. $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms apply; not available to anyone who has worked for a Performance Food Group owned company within the last 6 months).
Schedule
Overnights, Sunday – Thursday. Start time 6:30 p.m. until finished. Average 11 hours drive time with upwards of 14 hours duty time.

About the role
As a Shuttle Driver, you will transport empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will drive a tandem trailer, tractor trailer, and/or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards; report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report all safety hazards.
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule; perform hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
- Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas; ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer; complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload all equipment and materials; remove trash from trailers as required.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 12 months of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement
- Must be 21 years of age
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday – Thursday nights (schedules may vary)
- Pass pre-employment drug test and road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift (product generally ranges from approximately 60 to 90 pounds, depending on the location)
