SHUTTLE DRIVER, ACTIVITIES - NON CDL
About the role
Responsible for safe transport of students to and from athletic events or activities using assigned school's small activity bus/shuttle van. Position is on an ad-hoc or as-need basis.
Responsibilities
- Transports students to athletic and activity events (e.g. games, tournaments, etc.), picking up and dropping off in a timely manner.
- Determines route for specified activity.
- Aids passengers with boarding and exiting shuttle, as needed.
- Ensures the comfort and safety of passengers while adhering to all traffic laws and district policies related to the transport of students.
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicle and reports any vehicle related issues.
- Upholds student behavior using proper procedures for student management issues; enforces rules to ensure student safety.
- Completes all related DPS training and maintains all licensure requirements, including a clean driving record.
Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Multi-Functional School Activity Bus Certification within 90 days of hire.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver's license, an acceptable driving record for the past three years, and meet the District's insurability requirement.
