Shuttle Doubles - DOT

Responsibilities

The Shuttle Driver will deliver loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and return the empty trailers back to the branch.

• Deliver loaded trailers to shuttle depot and pick up empty trailers to return
• Maintain delivery time windows
• Immediately communicate problems with supervisor
• Perform duties by following the company’s safety standards
• Represent Ben E. Keith with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude, following dress code and cleanliness standards
• Use of dash cameras with AI to monitor safe driving, capture safety events, and exonerate drivers in accidents; drivers sign a consent form upon hire

Requirements

• Good driving record with no more than 1 moving violation in the past three (3) years
• Pass required Drug and Physical Screening
• At least 1 year of DOT driving experience
• Valid state issued Class A CDL driver’s license with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements
• DOT certified (must be able to climb in and out of tractor)
• Ability to operate/drive a single axle with 28 ft., 36 ft., and 48 ft., trailers with tandem axle tractors
• High School Diploma or GED (work experience may be substituted for education)
• Able to perform repetitive lift over 50lbs
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions
• Normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs
• Able to climb in and out of truck and trailer
• Able to read numbers and product descriptions
