Shushan Hovsepyan Wins Global Women in Healthcare Rising Star Award in Edinburgh

The universe always knows…

A month ago, I received an email that I had been shortlisted as a finalist for the Global Women in Healthcare Rising Star Award given by the EMMS International and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.

Because of the global political situation, my visa was significantly delayed, and for weeks, there was no way to know if it would arrive in time.

I kept thinking, 'Maybe it’s not meant to be.' But something inside me said to hold on.

And then, just hours before the last possible chance – it came. I booked the very last flight, and flew straight to Edinburgh.

And now – I’m here. In this gorgeous historic hall at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, among six incredible finalists...

And then I was announced as the winner of the Rising Star Award!

Forever thankful to Gevorg Tamamyan for always being an exceptional example.

This journey reminded me that sometimes the most meaningful moments arrive exactly when they’re meant to.
