Showroom Shift Lead - NYC Showroom

About the role

The NYC Showroom is the heart of the Babylist brand, where guests come to explore, build registries, and feel supported. As a Shift Lead, you'll be a key-holder and floor leader, ensuring the showroom runs smoothly and guests have a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key-holder, managing opening, closing, and security protocols
• Lead by example, providing exceptional service and guiding guests through the showroom experience
• Coach and support the showroom and pop-up teams, enhancing product knowledge and safety guidelines
• Support operations including pop-ups, events, inventory management, visual merchandising, and showroom upkeep
• Set clear expectations and drive accountability for guest satisfaction and product knowledge
• Communicate effectively with the Showroom Manager and the team, aligning on policies, procedures, and initiatives
• Provide regular feedback to Showroom Leadership and contribute to showroom and pop-up strategies
• Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and product knowledge proficiency
• Collaborate with the Babylist content and social media team as needed

Requirements

• Experience leading on a retail or guest service floor, with 1 to 2 years of experience and demonstrated leadership or key-holder responsibility
• Strong problem-solving skills, able to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Warm and clear communication with both teammates and guests, building genuine relationships based on great service
• Available to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Able to lift and carry 25 to 30 lbs and stand for 8 to 10 hours
• A passion for guest experience and creating warm, authentic connections with those you serve
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and retail operations is a plus, as is knowledge of Babylist registries and products

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and carry 25 to 30 lbs
• Standing for 8 to 10 hours

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Knowledge of Babylist registries and products
• Point-of-sale system familiarity (a plus)

Pay

The starting rate for this position is $27.75 per hour
