As a Store Manager, you will oversee daily operations at our store location, manage a team of retail associates, interface with customers, and contribute to store success and profitability. You will drive sales, hire and develop talent, uphold visual and operational standards, and embody Purple’s values of safety, community, communication, development, accountability, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and KPIs: make strategic and operational decisions aligned with Purple’s values, drive sales through strategies to meet performance metrics, establish clear goals, monitor progress, track store performance, take ownership of personal and team sales results, hold team accountable for sales performance and productivity, create optimized store schedules aligning staffing with peak times to maximize sales.
• Hire and develop talent: recruit, hire, and develop top talent; coach, model, and deliver selling behavior aligned with Purple’s strategy; foster a positive work environment; manage and lead a team of approximately 4‑5 associates.
• Uphold visual and operational standards: adhere to all Purple retail policies including safety and operational standards; utilize company resources to prepare and set up visual marketing displays and promotional materials; create a customer‑centric, solution‑oriented environment; learn and communicate product knowledge to match customer needs; exemplify and lead with company values.
• Meet physical demands: occasionally ascend/descend ladders, stairs, ramps; move self in various positions; remain stationary or stand for prolonged periods; move about to accomplish tasks; reach or bend repeatedly; adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions; capability to lift up to 200 pounds via team lift or equipment; perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands, fingers; operate power tools as needed; assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma; bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a store manager role.
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new technology.

Pay

The compensation for this role is $75,000 annually, plus eligibility for monthly commissions on qualifying mattress sales per the commission agreement terms and conditions.

Schedule

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
