Short Term Associate Graphic Designer

Location: Boston, MA – 3-month assignment

About the role

The Boutiques Associate Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and developing digital and print assets to support the Rue La La & Gilt teams. We’re looking for someone with the desire to be part of something big, a strong foundation in design, a sophisticated aesthetic sense, and the ability to collaborate in a dynamic retail fashion environment. You’ll join a team that values excellence and respects the integrity of world-class brands featured on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute on-brand design demonstrating considered layout, image composition, typography, and a sophisticated use of color palette
• Design a variety of assets for Boutiques, Marketing, and Acquisitions, including Boutique Main doors, advertising assets, and internal creative needs, from conceptualization through final approval
• Work collaboratively and constructively on each project with Copywriters, Marketing Managers, Art Directors, Designers, and Brand Operations
• Develop designs in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality, and adapt to shifting priorities based on changing calendars

Requirements

• 0–2 years of relevant work experience as a junior designer or in an agency or in-house creative group
• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign
• Experience creating and optimizing graphics for the web
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, collegial team
• Desire to learn and stay current with trends in fashion, style, design, retailing, and ecommerce
• Strong portfolio demonstrating training and potential
• BA in Graphic Design

Nice-to-have skills

• Experience with video applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects
• Photography or Art Direction experience

Pay

Expected base salary: $26 per hour
