About the role

Treehouse South is a short-term crisis residential program in Orange County, collaborating with the Orange County Mental Health Department. It assists members experiencing acute mental health crises, providing stabilization and recovery support without inpatient admission. The program is staffed by a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Engage, inspire, and facilitate meaningful conversations with members to help them explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals.
• Provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS).
• Integrate each member’s point of view and preferences into services and self-help programming.
• Respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills to support a least restrictive environment for members experiencing mental health or addiction-related emergencies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Peer Certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained throughout employment.
• California: Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification through CalMHSA must be obtained within 120 days of hire and maintained. Failure to obtain certification within this period will result in separation.
• One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges.
• Experience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of care.
• Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.
• Valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver.
• Willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups.

Schedule

• Short-Hour | PM Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Friday & Saturday.

Pay

Expected starting wage is $23.00 per hour. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges based on the location where the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
