Shop Technician (Forklift Mechanic)

We offer new equipment, used equipment, rentals, service, parts, fleet management, and training for our customers, providing comprehensive and tailored solutions for unique business needs.

Responsibilities

• Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
• Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs
• Completing work order forms
• Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
• Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment
• Following established warranty processes

Requirements

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry
• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset
• Relevant Trade Certification is an asset
• Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience an asset
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites in the region is required

Pay and Schedule

The base pay range for this role is: $34.00 to $38.00 per hour, depending on experience. This is an onsite role based in Odessa, Texas.
