Key Responsibilities
- Completing day-to-day tasks that keep the warehouse running safely and efficiently.
- Performing technical tasks that include equipment and machinery management, assessment, repair, and maintenance.
- Cooking and scheduling the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
- Maintaining the shop environment by maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
- Maintaining and assisting in cleaning company fleet vehicles; inside and out.
- Managing shop inventory and keeping direct supervisor informed of any product needs.
- Cleaning and maintaining store, warehouse, and outside areas keeping them in a neat, and orderly condition.
- Inspecting and repairing tools and tool room equipment.
- Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies.
- Sets up equipment and takes equipment apart.
- Follow established procedures when working on projects or tasks.
- Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Required
- Proficient oral and written communication
- Ability to maintain internal and external effective and harmonious working relationships
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must have good knowledge of hand and power tools
- Read a tape measure with proficiency
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to climb a minimum 30-foot ladder
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Knowledge and application of OSHA safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid US driver's license (preferred)
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/ Environmental Factors
- Tools/Equipment Used: Basic hand tools including but not limited to hammer, wrench, power saw, nail gun, and sander.
- Posture: Prolonged standing and/or bending; occasional stooping, pushing/pulling, carrying, climbing, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions, pushing/pulling, carrying, reaching, and twisting
- Lifting: Ability to carry up to 75 lbs. repetitively
- Environment: Possible districtwide travel with potential exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, noise, vibration, and chemical and electrical hazards
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, sudden shifting priorities, and ability to maintain emotional control under stress
