Shop Technician

PURPOSE

The Accommodations Shop Technician will be responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing modular living quarters.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the construction of new builds
• Service and repair existing buildings as needed
• Install and/or repair structures and fixtures (metal and wood)
• Lay laminate
• Install flooring and interior base
• Install and adjust doors for proper fit
• Install interior wall panels over metal studs
• Install ceiling grid and tiles
• Install furnishings in the completed buildings
• Cleans and prepares completed buildings such as mopping and waxing floors, wiping of furnishings, and cleaning bathrooms
• Maintains, evaluates, and adjusts processes or equipment to maximize quality and efficiency
• Operates equipment and materials following OEM guidelines as well as standard operating procedures
• Completes records and associated documentation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Less than High School Education
• Work Experience: 0-2 years
• Supervisory Experience: Not Applicable
• Related Experience: Ability to communicate and interpret a variety of oral and written instructions
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Work Experience: 0-2 years
• Supervisory Experience: Not Applicable
• Related Experience: Relevant experience as a shop technician in the oil and gas industry
• Have a working knowledge of commercial construction techniques and the associated tools

• Precise hand/eye coordination: Constantly
• Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions: Frequently
• Operation of heavy equipment or operation of vehicles: Occasionally
• Lifting/pushing objects weighing over: > 50 lbs: Frequently
• Climbing and working in awkward and cramped positions: Occasionally

• Exposure to inclement weather, bright lights, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes
