About the Role
Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. Works in the assigned area under the direct guidance of a qualified technician, maintaining a neat and orderly workspace while improving work methods, safety standards, and contributing to team efforts.
Responsibilities
- Wears required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, ear protection, and company-provided uniform.
- Completes pre-work procedures such as stretching, Job Hazard Assessments, and inspecting tooling, equipment, and service trucks.
- Follows proper Lockout Tag Out, fall protection, seatbelt use in vehicles/forklifts, arc flash protection, and confined space procedures when exposed to hazards.
- Attends and completes required technician training classes.
- Maintains a minimum set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
- Performs basic equipment repair functions, including maintenance, diagnostics, removal, and replacement of parts and major components.
- Completes required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
- Assists with facility maintenance by following contamination control guidelines, housekeeping, and performing general maintenance duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0–6 months of relevant experience.
- Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.
- Willingness to update job knowledge through re-training every 1–2 years as requirements change.

Working Conditions
- Physical Demands:
- Constant: Climbing, reaching, standing, talking, hearing, repetitive motion.
- Frequent: Kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, pushing/pulling/lifting up to 25 lbs, fingering, grasping.
- Occasional: Balancing, stooping, pushing/pulling/lifting 26–50 lbs or over 50 lbs.
- Environmental Conditions:
- Constant: Inside conditions (protected from weather but not temperature extremes), noise requiring raised voices, hazards (e.g., moving parts, electrical current, heights, heat/chemicals), atmospheric conditions (fumes, dust, gases, poor ventilation), vibration.
- Frequent: Extreme heat (above 100°F for over an hour), oils (skin/air exposure).
- Occasional: Outside conditions, extreme cold (below 32°F for over an hour), air particulates/contaminants requiring respirators.
- Work Schedule: Typically regular business hours with occasional nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Stress Load: Occasional exposure to stress (less than 20% of the time).
- Workload Fluctuation: Frequent changes in priorities, complexity, or quantity of work.
