About the Role

Ring Power Corporation, a full-line Caterpillar dealer, is seeking a skilled technician to conduct all assigned work in a safe manner while adhering to safety, environmental, and contamination control policies. The role involves diagnosing and performing repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and maintaining high standards of workmanship and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Wear proper personal protective equipment and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Attend and complete required technician training classes.
  • Maintain awareness of technical changes in the industry.
  • Maintain a necessary set of tools to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform repairs on equipment, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Work neatly and improve methods, work areas, and safety standards.
  • Inspect components to maximize parts reuse and control repair costs.
  • Complete required documentation using appropriate software to record repairs and account for repair times.
  • Monitor job expenses versus repair estimates and notify supervisors of cost overruns before job completion.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and support team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while meeting safety and quality expectations.
  • Train and/or mentor others in the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Completion of all required training curriculum to be designated a Tech II.
  • Ability to comprehend written material and communicate effectively with employees and customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in computer use, Microsoft Office products, and relevant dealer software programs.
