Shop PM Technician (Afternoon Shift) - Urgently hiring

About the role

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is a rapidly growing fleet maintenance network based in the Southeast corridor of Michigan, serving markets including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Lansing, and Flint. We also have technicians serving customers in Indianapolis, Cleveland, Louisville, and Nashville. We are dedicated to providing top-notch service and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform Preventative Maintenance on Trash trucks.
• Write detailed work orders and work In-Yard & Shop independently.
• Provide quality customer service when needed.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair bodies, systems, and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance measures on fleets.
• Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic system.
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management.
• Respond to client queries promptly.

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience doing Preventative Maintenance and more on trash trucks (nice to have).
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds.
• Basic computer skills to submit repairs for billing.
• Basic reading and writing skills to complete customer repair orders.

Qualifications

• Experience with welding, certification a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Technical school degree, a plus.
• A Class A CDL.
• Your own tools.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Customer service orientation.

USD $32.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr.
