About the role

Mohawk Industries is seeking a team member who will support manufacturing operations by increasing productivity and eliminating downtime and waste.

Responsibilities

• Prep and paint equipment inside paint booth
• Deliver motors/gearboxes/misc. to other Mohawk facilities
• Covers materials, supplies, and equipment
• Records all pertinent data in building logbooks and makes all appropriate daily entries
• Unloads and loads – blade blocks, hook bars, and needle bars
• Takes out and sharpens needles in Tufting
• Replaces – needle plate wires and splicer blades
• Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follows all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
• Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Performs other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Lift Truck Certification preferred
• Successful completion of all required on the job training
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
• May be required to use department specific database systems
• 1-year of experience preferred

Qualifications

• Operate in a team-based environment
• Basic math skills
• Fine motor skills for wiring, adjusting controls and use of power tools and small hand tools
• Mechanical aptitude
• Replace, unload, and load parts on machinery

Skills

• Physical movement for long periods of time
• Bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement
• Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment
• Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures
