Shop Helper

About the role

The Shop Helper position at Super Products involves performing various shop duties such as minor repairs and servicing, cleaning, receiving/shipping, washing of equipment, and assisting mechanics. The role requires following procedures outlined in work orders and policy handbooks, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and operating company-owned equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct minor repairs and servicing to equipment as directed by the Service Manager
• Follow procedures outlined in the work orders and policy handbook
• Maintain a clean and respectable facility, shop equipment, work environment, and parking areas
• Absorb and assist Heavy Equipment Mechanic as needed
• Pick up and deliver parts as needed
• Wear company-supplied uniform when conducting company business
• Maintain and organize shop and storage areas - ensuring proper storage of flammable items
• Operate all company-owned equipment and vehicles in a safe, lawful, and respectful manner

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED. No relocation is available for this position.

Qualifications

Must be organized and possess the ability to multi-task. Must be self-motivated, showing complete accountability, and timely in all assignments. Must have the ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

Skills

Must have the ability and willingness to learn and possibly advance to Heavy Truck Mechanic.
