SHOP HELPER

About the role

Knife River is a publicly traded company on the NYSE with the ticker symbol KNF and part of the S&P MidCap 400 index. We are hiring a Shop Helper at our Coos Bay, OR operation.

Responsibilities

• Wash trucks
• Run parts
• Fuel small vehicles
• Auxiliary the purchasing agent with inventory control
• Perform light janitorial duties
• Assist mechanics and shop personnel with other duties as directed

Requirements

• 18 years old
• Proven work experience demonstrating reliability
• Experience with the operation of small trucks pulling a trailer; small flatbeds preferred
• Experience operating various small hand tools
• Ability to drive company vehicle locally and long distances
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift, stoop, bend and carry various tools and parts throughout the workday
• Adhere to all company safety policies, state and federal regulations
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Must be able to pass a physical capacity test
• Must be able to pass a background check

Schedule

3:00PM - 11:30PM (Monday - Friday)
