We are currently searching for an organized, well-rounded individual to join our dynamic team as a Truck Shop Helper at our Moreno Valley, CA location. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general duties in the truck shop and yard.
• Assist mechanics and shop staff with day-to-day truck and trailer maintenance and repair activities.
• Operate shunt trucks to relocate trailers to designated areas within the yard, as required.
• Assist with the loading, tarping, and unloading of trailers on customer property.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of shunt trucks to ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Coordinate with dispatch and yard personnel to organize loads and ensure efficient movement of trailers and containers.
• Maintain accurate logs of shipments and deliveries.
• Assist with reefer wash job duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with trucks and trailers is required.
• Willingness and ability to operate a shunt truck is considered a strong asset.
• A valid driver's license is required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid driving record with no restrictions that would prevent driving-related duties associated with this position.
• Knowledge of truck parts, equipment, and truck repairs would be considered an asset.
• Knowledge of DOT/MTO rules and regulations is an asset.
• Mechanical background is an asset.
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• Effective problem solver with the ability to understand issues and find solutions in a timely manner.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
