About the role
This position oversees a 3-shift operation with standard day hours at Martin Transportation Systems' Springfield, IL terminal.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a 3-shift operation with standard day hours
- Knowledge and experience with Cummins and Detroit engine systems
- Knowledge of different tires and costs associated with their maintenance
- Maintain and preserve proper inventory management
- Familiarity with Outlook and basic Excel usage
- 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience, including ASE certification
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professionalism in both employee management and customer service
- Transportation or automotive management experience a plus
- Knowledge of compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations a plus
- Demonstrated track record of achievement and success
- Competitive and driven to succeed
