Shop Fabricator
About the role
ICON is currently seeking fabricators to support machine shop operations in Dalton, PA. Fabricators must be able to lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld metals to customer specifications. This highly detailed work requires knowledge of many techniques and tools.
Responsibilities
- Lay out, cut, fit, measure, and weld metals to customer specifications
- Operate shop equipment including Press Brake and Shear
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Apply knowledge of mathematics and mechanics
- Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds applicable industry standards and customer contract specifications
- Work overtime when necessary
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years' experience in the trade preferred but not required
- Possess required tools for the position
- Welding experience a plus
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Experience operating Press Brake and Shear as well as other shop equipment
- Knowledge of mathematics and mechanics
- Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary
- Direct industrial fabrication experience will result in better compensation

Pay
Up to $28.00 per hour, experience dependent.
