Shop Diesel Mechanic II - CDL

About the role

Cox Fleet is seeking a Shop Diesel Technician II to support the company's growth. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience, and a valid CDL-A driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance inspections
• Assist in cleanup at the end of each day
• Document work performed according to company standards
• Communicate with Shop Manager and support team for approvals and discussions
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment
• Identify and address problems with equipment
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation
• Participate in safety training and adhere to safety policies
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience
• Valid CDL-A driver's license
• Current DOT medical card with more than 4 months remaining
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods
• Valid DOT T8 (PMI) certification preferred

USD 26.73 - 40.10 per hour
