Full-time, Day Shift (6:00am to 2:30pm)
Location
Hammond, IN (East Chicago Area)
Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with vehicle prep, such as positioning vehicles in service bays and staging vehicles for pick up.
- Keep the shop clean and organized by sweeping, mopping, and properly storing tools and equipment.
- Manage the organization of vehicles in the lot, ensuring proper parking and vehicle flow.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, such as checking tire pressure, fluid levels, and identifying damage.
- Transport vehicles within the shop, to and from customer locations, or to designated lot areas.
- Monitor the lot for cleanliness and orderliness, reporting any issues to management.
- Maintain inventory of shop and cleaning supplies, requesting reorders when needed.
- Assist with vehicle intake and retrieval, ensuring a smooth service process.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and ensure all vehicles are delivered in excellent condition.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper disposal of hazardous materials.
- Support other general tasks around the shop and lot as required.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in an automotive setting or similar role is a plus
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable operating a variety of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions
