Shop Associate

About the role

We are currently seeking a Shop Associate at our New Jersey Service Center (East Rutherford, NJ) to support our solutions that include modular barricades and graphics for companies nationwide. Our dedicated teams work hand in hand with clients throughout the entire process to ensure projects are finished on brand and on time.

Responsibilities

• Builds, cleans, and preps barricade panels and ensures loads are accurate, complete, and in quality condition.
• Allocates shop materials and panels.
• Manages inventory control, material handling, and receiving.
• Responsible for the care and cleanliness of the shop.
• Reads and interprets plans and blueprints.
• Operates under best practices for safe, appropriate, and organized use of shop operations and space.

Requirements

• Experience in construction is helpful.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience working with various power tools including radial arm saws, circular saws, and impact drills.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and work at elevations of up to 16 feet.
• Physical ability to lift and carry 80 pounds or greater of equipment.
• Mandatory DOT Medical Certification: This position requires operating a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight of up to 26,000 lbs. and is subject to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You must successfully complete and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical). Employment is contingent upon meeting these physical and medical standards.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive due to responsibilities where impairment from drugs or alcohol could pose a significant risk. Duties may include operating commercial motor vehicles, heavy equipment, or machinery. Employees are subject to pre-employment and other drug/alcohol testing in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
