Responsibilities
- Aid in managing shoe areas for Men’s, Women’s, and Youth sections.
- Communicate proactively with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to address immediate needs.
- Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates.
- Return unsold shoes to designated areas in backstock.
- Support Customer Service with shoe return processing and restocking items to the sales floor.
- Maintain a tidy and organized product display to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Engage warmly with customers, fostering a positive shopping experience.
- Operate efficiently to minimize customer wait times.
- Perform tasks independently and collaboratively with the team.
- Communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written means.
- Show attention to detail and adhere to Scheels’ policies and procedures.
- Present a professional appearance and maintain a respectful attitude.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented environment.
- Be adaptable to a dynamic work environment and apply learned skills effectively.
- Apply basic mathematical, grammatical, and organizational skills.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 months of sales experience preferred.
- Customer service skills, including treating colleagues, customers, and business partners with respect and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and reliability.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing.
- Heavy work load – capable of exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly.
- Flexible schedule, typically 1-2 nights/week plus every other weekend, with shifts between 5pm and 9pm on weekdays and 9am-7pm on Saturdays and 11am-6pm on Sundays.
- Ability to work variable hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must meet Scheels’ dress and grooming standards to maintain a welcoming environment for customers, co-workers, and business partners.
