Shipping Warehouse Associate
About the role
The Shipping Warehouse Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient movement of inventory, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the Sterilization Facility and other distribution warehouses. This position involves handling various tasks from order preparation to final packaging, requiring attention to detail and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Assembles customer orders by accurately picking and counting items from the correct stock locations, placing them on pallets or containers.
- Prepares items for shipment by verifying item numbers, descriptions, lot numbers, and quantities against customer orders, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Checks orders and shipments for accuracy, ensuring all packaging meets company standards and adheres to labeling requirements.
- Affixes labels and shipping information onto packaging and shipping documents, generating packing lists from the WMS system.
- Utilizes hand-held scanners to facilitate the order-picking process, inspecting items for label accuracy.
- Operates computer systems for data entry and retrieval, loading outbound freight, organizing and maintaining finished goods inventory, and making recommendations for improving operational efficiency.
- Maintains OSHA safety and cleanliness practices, operating equipment safely, and ensuring compliance with company SOPs and policies.
- Performs other duties as required, including assisting in receiving and stockroom operations as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Three (3) years of experience in Shipping/Warehouse/Distribution environments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attentive to detail and organized.
- Self-directed and good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Forklift experience a plus.
- FedEx Ship Manager experience a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor.
- Accurately completes computer transactions for all material movements.
- Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and other applicable standards.
- Computer experience including MS Word/Excel, ORACLE MRP system experience a plus.
- Keeps full records of material transactions in designated areas.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Technical School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Three (3) years of experience in Shipping/Warehouse/Distribution environments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attentive to detail and organized.
- Self-directed and good problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Pay
Pay Range: $21.12 - $27.98 USD Hourly. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, equity, or other variable compensation.
