About the role

As a Shipping-Stock Handler at Fives Landis Corp in Hagerstown, Maryland, you will play a key role in preparing and completing shipping activities, managing inventory, and supporting warehouse operations. You will join the Receiving team under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete shipping activities, including packing components, constructing shipping containers or skids, creating documentation, and processing postage for domestic and international shipments.
• Construct and customize crates, boxes, and skids using carpentry skills, power tools, and shipping standards to ensure safe transport of machine parts and full machine shipments.
• Perform inventory control and material movement in SAP, including scanning, updating stock locations, and operating storage and retrieval systems to maintain accurate inventory.
• Execute order fulfillment and material handling tasks by pulling parts, delivering materials to shipping, packaging orders, and preparing kits for delivery to assembly areas.
• Receive and inspect incoming freight, unload trucks, verify components, store materials properly, and support daily warehouse operations as part of the material handling team.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing receiving experience preferred.
• Carpentry skills and experience using power saws and other equipment to build boxes and skids.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience required.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Pay

$18 – $23 per hour (rate offered will be commensurate with experience).
