Shipping/Recieving Clerk
About the role
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor and is responsible for maintaining accurate records of items shipped and received, overseeing the packaging of outgoing shipments, and managing all inquiries related to shipments, orders, and inventory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of items shipped and received.
- Oversee safe and reliable packaging of all outgoing shipments.
- Process items for shipment according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
- Reviews all international shipment documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Maintain timely, effective, and professional communications with all internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Responsible for effective record keeping, filing, and other administrative duties as required.
- Follows all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately reports any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
- Works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with plant manager, sales staff, and plant personnel.
- Demonstrates the ability to understand equipment and tolerances from past experience and successful past performance.
- Warehouse experience with forklift, packing, and measuring.
- Safety Mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Knowledge of metals handling, proper staging, processing, packaging, and shipping.
- First aid and CPR training.
- Exposure to SAP, safety programs, ISO standards, and lean practices.

Pay
$20/hour based on experience

Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
