About the Role
The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is a critical element of the sales team, providing support to Design Consultants and delivering unparalleled customer service. This role is essential to the growth of the branch.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments of all non-slab products accurately and quickly.
- Maintain neat and organized inventory/warehouse.
- Monitor and maintain commodity sink stock.
- Notify appropriate sales representatives of all incoming transfers and orders.
- Prepare all outgoing shipments of non-slab products, ensuring proper packaging for safe transport.
- Manage all inventory transfers (in and out) to tool vans or showroom/display.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments/transfers.
- Assist fabricator walk-ins with sink and tool transactions.
- Manage damaged inventory and the RGA process for non-slab products.
- Provide an unparalleled customer service experience in all customer interactions.
- Back up the slab specialist as needed.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Must be a self-starter who can take initiative and maintain professionalism and flexibility in a high-paced work environment.
- Expert communication skills.
- Firm understanding of all products Triton Stone offers, including competitors' offerings.
- Forklift experience required.
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to type on a computer efficiently.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, and lift both arms above head.
- Ability to drive a vehicle without restrictions.
- Ability to speak over the telephone for long periods while wearing a headset on one or both ears.
