About the Role

The Lead Person performs various tasks necessary to lead and direct their team by coordinating the material being received and stored into the facility. The Lead Person may be required to perform any or all of the job duties listed below.

Responsibilities

  • Direct workforce as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Hand out work orders to team members for staging and shipping of orders.
  • Check drivers in and assign doors.
  • Scan all paperwork and keep in orderly fashion on the computer.
  • Communicate in a timely fashion the status of orders to customer service, managers, supervisors, leads, and directors.
  • Ensure all receiving paperwork is signed, printed name, and dated before scanning to appropriate distribution list.
  • Ensure efficient operation of receiving product to customer while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Responsible for the training of employees and new hires as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Responsible for oversight and validation of completion for any paperwork, data collection/entry, labeling/tagging, etc. of team members in work cells.
  • Assist with physical inventory inspection and measurements as required.
  • Accountable for identification of safety hazards, as well as support and sustain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in receiving area.
  • Practice proper safety techniques.
  • Follow all procedures and guidelines.
  • Set-up of production areas or startup of equipment as necessary.
  • Inform supervisor of the status of various production orders.
  • Follow production schedule ensuring production standards are met.
  • Check measurements and quality of all materials and completion of quality record(s) where required.
  • Correction of quality issues within the department as assigned by supervisor.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment.
  • Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned, which may include help from the maintenance department when necessary.
  • Record material usage where required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be forklift certified.
  • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
  • Good attention to detail.

Pay

$25.93/hr. to $30.50/hr.
