Shipping & Receiving/Material Handler

About the Role

Under the direction of the Production Manager, this position performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping and receiving. The main focus is shipping and receiving products or components, keeping the production line stocked, and maintaining an organized warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials, count items received or shipped, and verify against packing lists; record discrepancies the day the shipment is received, note shortages or damages, and place materials in designated locations.
• Maintain inventory by stocking the production line daily, monitoring inventory levels, and assisting with routine cycle counts.
• Complete daily receiving entries into the computer system.
• Receive and process returned goods shipments; complete and forward RGA paperwork.
• Ensure an adequate supply of shipping materials is always on hand.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Provide backup support to the service parts area.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Forklift certification or experience and willingness to be certified
• Valid Driver’s License
• Microsoft Office & ERP system knowledge
• Preferred: Job-related experience or previous exposure to shipping and receiving and/or inventory control procedures
