Shipping & Receiving/Labourer Associate - Tar Heel Rd.

Position Summary

Pulls orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment. Verifies inbound shipments.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines
• Receives, ships, stores, and transfers material for use in manufacturing
• Performs the related transactions for the stocking of material
• Breaks down, cleans, organizes, and preps for manufacturing in accordance to procedure and production requirements
• Aids with broad range of warehouse tasks, utilizing forklifts, pallet movers, drum dollies and carts
• Transports materials to and from production areas
• Aids with loading and unloading trucks
• Aids Operators with various material handling duties
• Repackages of materials, changes and cleans equipment
• Empty drums, rinses drums
• Aids Operators with various material handling duties
• Coincides, communicates, and signals replenishment of material from the various stock locations to production
• Receives, inspects, stores, and properly controls the integrity of perishable materials

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Entry level to 1 year of inventory, warehouse, and receiving experience
• Materials handling experience
• Ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Necessary communication skills to coordinate activities among various parties, including internal and external customers and vendors

Physical Requirements

• Ability to be on feet up to 12 hours per shift
• Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb
• Ability to lift up to 35lbs
