About the role

Every robot we ship and every part we receive flows through this seat — which makes you the person who keeps Lucid Bots moving. As our Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Specialist, you'll own the full physical and system-of-record journey of our materials: shipping finished robots and parts to customers around the world, receiving and putting away incoming inventory, and keeping our ERP a trustworthy mirror of what's actually on the shelf. You'll be the go-to expert who untangles international customs, tenders lithium-battery and freight shipments correctly, and turns around the shipping quotes our Sales team relies on. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role with real ownership: you'll set the standard for how a fast-growing robotics company ships. As we scale, the person who masters this function has a front-row seat to how a modern operation is built — and helps build it.

Responsibilities

• Own the full physical and system-of-record journey of materials: shipping finished robots and parts to customers globally, receiving and putting away incoming inventory, and maintaining ERP accuracy.
• Handle domestic parcel, LTL/FTL freight, and international shipments with accurate packaging, labeling, commercial invoices, and customs documentation.
• Navigate international shipping and customs to prevent or resolve shipment delays (DHL experience preferred).
• Maintain inventory integrity: ensure every physical move is promptly and accurately reflected in the ERP, catching errors before they impact customers or production.
• Pack and stage orders on schedule, and provide quick turnaround on shipping quotes and lead-time answers for the Sales team.
• Handle regulated materials, including DOT/IATA dangerous goods and lithium-ion batteries (certification provided if needed).
• Improve processes in a fast-growing startup environment—help write the playbook rather than wait for one.
• Operate safely with materials up to 50 lbs and use (or get certified on) forklifts and pallet jacks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or logistics, with end-to-end process ownership.
• Experience with domestic parcel, LTL/FTL freight, and international shipments, including customs documentation.
• Commitment to inventory accuracy: physical moves are promptly and correctly reflected in the ERP.
• Ability to keep customers and internal teams moving by meeting packing/staging deadlines and providing quick shipping quotes.
• Willingness to handle regulated materials (e.g., lithium-ion batteries) and obtain necessary certifications (training provided).
• Builder mindset: comfortable improving processes in a startup environment with evolving systems.
• Radical ownership: proactive problem-solving and team-first attitude.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

Skills

• International shipping and customs navigation (HTS classifications, ECCNs, Incoterms, export documentation, customs broker coordination).
• Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica or similar) for inventory, purchase receipts, sales orders, and shipments.
• Background in manufacturing, robotics, electronics, or aerospace, or experience with lot-controlled, serialized, or revision-controlled inventory.
• Familiarity with cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and 5S/continuous-improvement methods.
• Hands-on experience safely handling batteries, ESD-sensitive components, or other regulated materials.

Schedule

This is an on-site role based at our Charlotte, NC headquarters. Standard schedule is 8am–5pm, five days a week.
