Shipping/Receiving & Finishing Team Member

Your Tasks

• Prepare and ship custom plastic profiles for customer shipments.
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks using a tow motor.
• Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments using Excel.
• Complete weekly and monthly cycle counts on selected inventory.
• Update and maintain physical and perpetual inventory using inventory management systems.
• Maintain records and documentation per ISO and process requirements.
• Support fulfillment of materials to production stations, stock packaging materials, and remove finished goods to prepare for shipment or put in inventory.
• Focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Operate finishing machine for processing and preparation of custom plastic profiles.
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on finishing equipment.
• Measure parts using calipers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area through 5S.
• Communicate with other team members to maintain quality, operational, efficiency, and safety metrics.

Your Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to drive a forklift or pass a forklift certification course.
• Working with light packaging equipment.
• Willingness to learn and operate light hand tools.
• Working in a team-based environment.
• Entrepreneurial nature: self-directed, goal-oriented, customer focused.
• Math aptitude.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
• Ability to travel (potential one or two customer or supplier visits per year).
• Experience with quality control and ISO.
• Prior Inventory Management.
• Prior Shipping/Receiving and Material Handling experience.
