Shipping & Receiving Associate
About the role
The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring accuracy of shipments and maintaining an organized and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and verify incoming metal materials, parts and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, cranes or other material-handling equipment
- Prepare and package fabricated metal products for shipment, ensuring proper protection and labeling
- Cook outgoing shipments, including staging, banding, wrapping and documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts
- Move materials to and from production areas as needed
- Identify and report damaged or missing materials
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of heavy and sharp metal materials
- Work closely with production and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries
- Overtime and weekend work may be required at times
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience handling metal materials
- Previous experience working in fabrication, shipping/receiving, warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience reading and interpreting shipping documents
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols

Pay
$18 - $20 per hour
Schedule
Overtime and weekend work may be required at times.
