Shipping & Receiving Associate

HANNECARD USA · Ohio, United States · 1 wk ago
ManagementFull-time

Come roll with us at Hannecard, where what we achieve is the sum of countless individual efforts — and we look for people who want to grow with us, not just punch a clock. This role is hands-on logistics work at the heart of our operation, keeping production running on schedule.

About the role

Our rollers only outperform for customers if they actually get there on time and in the condition they left our shop in. What you do in Shipping & Receiving is the first and last touchpoint for nearly everything that moves through Hannecard — the materials that feed production, and the finished rollers that go out to customers who are counting on us.

Responsibilities

  • Operate an overhead crane and towmotor to move materials, incoming shipments, and finished product safely around the facility.
  • Assist with loading and offloading trucks, coordinating timing with drivers and the production schedule.
  • Perform basic inspection of incoming materials — checking for visible damage, correct quantities, and matching paperwork.
  • Enter received items into our ERP system accurately and promptly, so inventory records stay reliable for the rest of the team.
  • Keep the shipping/receiving area organized, clean, and safe.
  • Communicate clearly with production and purchasing about discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods.

Requirements

  • Some prior warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Prior towmotor and/or overhead crane experience preferred; we'll certify you if you don't already hold current certification.
  • Comfort with basic computer/ERP data entry, or a willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail for inspection and recordkeeping — small errors here cause real problems downstream.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working around moving equipment and material.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle material as part of daily work.

Qualifications

We're hiring for trajectory, not just to fill a shift. You'll report to a working supervisor who will train you on our specific equipment and systems. If you come in without current crane or towmotor certification, we'll get you certified on the job — OSHA requires formal training and evaluation for powered industrial truck and overhead crane operators, and we treat that as a real investment in you, not a box-check. As you build reliability and speed, there's room to take on more responsibility and grow your pay.

Who thrives here

Someone who takes pride in doing the unglamorous-but-critical work right — the person who notices a shipment doesn't match the paperwork before it becomes someone else's problem. If you like keeping things organized and moving efficiently, you'll do well here.

Benefits

  • Competitive wages
  • Stable, long-term opportunity within a growing company
  • Training opportunities for skill enhancement and career growth

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. Hannecard does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
