Shipping & Receiving Associate

About the Role

Barfield, a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering, is seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in the aviation industry. This role supports our Shipping and Receiving department with a variety of critical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sign for incoming packages and write up incoming units for repair work.
• Perform quality inspection on incoming units.
• Scan all receiving documents and verify part numbers and serial numbers.
• Identify proper packaging and prepare shipments for pickup and deliveries.
• Check for correct labeling and proper packaging, and make records of all shipments.
• Assist with daily inventory and manage consignment inventory.
• Run Picking Reports to assist other team members and assist mechanics at the windows.
• Provide parts and consume them to the Work Order (WO#).
• Process Yellow Tags and receive parts returned from shops back into inventory.
• Relocate parts, print new labels, and order supplies.
• Assist other team members with their tasks and maintain overall organization of the department.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic computer knowledge and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to follow written instructions from manuals or documents.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform pushing/pulling of objects.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Receiving, Stockroom, and Shipping is a plus.
• Previous Quantum experience is a plus.
