Shipping Receiving Assc Back Up Driver

Job Requirements

• Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including small packages and palletized freight.
• Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage, and appropriate documentation.
• Label and organize customer orders using purchase orders, job cards, or work order receivers.
• Prepare products for shipment through proper packing and palletizing.
• Schedule pickups and coordinate deliveries to ensure timely shipment of goods.
• Communicate with shipping carriers to process and track outbound shipments.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Absorb responsibilities of the packing team as needed.
• Transport materials from receiving or staging areas to the production floor.
• Maintain a clean, organized dock and general shipping/receiving area.
• Report equipment malfunctions and shipping/receiving issues to the manager.
• Serve as a backup delivery driver; maintain accurate vehicle logs when driving.
• Collaborate with other departments to help meet shipping schedules and deadlines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• A high school diploma.
• Comprehensive MS Office skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• 3 to 5 years in a related field, shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• The use of a pallet jack, stacker, and forklift will be required, training will be available.
• Great organizational skills.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit and walk distances of up to 100 meters between buildings out of doors.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to keep our logistics running smoothly.
