About the role

The position is responsible for packaging parts for shipment and transport, ensuring that products meet packing specifications and documentation requirements.

12:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Package parts for shipment/transport.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure packing specifications are met.
• Ensure all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Seal containers or materials using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks.
• Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.).
• Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) – required.
• Vision: near and distance vision.
• Hearing: ability to hear average conversation.
• Touch: ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Pay

Compensation range: $18.50 – $20.00 (temporary role).

Work Environment

The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting. This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies must verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment.
