Shipping Lead

Position Summary

The Shipping Lead ensures the smooth and efficient operation of shipping and receiving goods as well as responsible for maintaining all stock inventory and pulling orders for manufacturing according to designated work orders.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Receives and examines incoming shipments as well as expedite shipments as required.
• Maintains all files and records related to shipping operations.
• Inventory packing and shipping supplies and informs purchasing when resupply is needed.
• Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
• Maintains cleanliness of shipping and stockroom areas to include storing materials in appropriate locations.
• Oversees and maintains all stock inventories for stockroom daily.
• Unloads shipping trucks as required.
• Affords assistance to shipping area with package procedures as requested.
• Reports any concerns or discrepancies to management.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain coordination
• Strong understanding of shipping regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficient in using shipping software and tools for tracking and documentation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Preferred: Experience working with international shipping and customs procedures
• Familiarity with inventory management systems
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret shipping data
